10 Reasons you're not achieving your goals
How are you tracking against the goals you set for yourself this year?
It’s certainly not been a normal year but, pandemic aside, as we head toward the final quarter of 2021, you still have time to reach those goals you set out to achieve.
If you’re feeling as though you’re not on track, you’ve lost momentum or your goals are too far out of reach, this episode is for you. I share 10 reasons why you may not be achieving your goals to help you identify any blocks that are holding you back.
I discuss:
Setting smart goals and creating a simple plan of attack
How bright shiny object syndrome sets in when we’re not really attached to our goals
Creating awareness around mindset challenges that cause you to stay in fear and procrastination
Outsourcing and carving out time to prioritise your goals
When we uncover blind spots that keep us stuck, we then have the awareness to make real change.
What could your business look like come December 31st?
Topics We Covered:
[2:00]: Pandemic aside, have you made progress toward achieving your goals? The final 4 months is where you build momentum for the year ahead.
[3:30]: Awareness creates change and blindspots keep you stuck.
[4:00]: #1: You want something but you haven’t set goals around it.
[5:15]: #2: You don’t have a plan. Keep it simple.
[6:30]: #3: You’re getting distracted. Our world is busier than ever before.
[7:40]: #4: Procrastination. You’re staying in the safe zone or stuck in “busy” work. Something else always ends up taking priority.
[8:50]: #5: You’re not actually attached to the goal. Think about what it is that you want in your business and set goals accordingly.
[9:50]: #6: Your goals aren’t aligned to where you want to take your business moving forward.
[10:50]: #7: Fear of failure. Not taking action kills more dreams than failure itself.
[11:43]: #8: You haven’t prioritised time to work on your goal. Mindset challenges might be intertwined with this.
[12:40]: #9: Lack of time. Get someone to help you with things you don’t have time for.
[14:00]: #10: A lack of accountability. Having a coach is extremely beneficial.
[15:20]: Recap
