Feeling overwhelmed? 7 tools to support you

As business owners, our minds are full of tasks, clients and our never-ending to-do lists. Our schedules can become jam-packed full of client and project jobs on top of everything we need to manage outside of our business in our personal lives and it can become hard to see a way through.

Overwhelm starts creeping in and begins affecting our overall mental and physical health. Unless we take action to stop it in its tracks.

In this episode, I’m sharing with you 7 tools, tactics and strategies I employ to overcome overwhelm.

You can react to overwhelm by doubling down on your work and spending hours and hours in front of your computer every day, or you may retreat into a space of inaction where you avoid everything because so many jobs are competing for your attention.

Whichever way overwhelm manifests, having a toolkit to support you as you go through it is absolutely essential.

I’ll take you through the tools and strategies that I use in my own business as well as identify episodes that you can deep dive into to unpack ideas.

I want you to focus on and take away just one thing from this episode that you can start using in your business today - I don’t want to add to your overwhelm by asking you to adopt them all at once!

Grab a pen and paper and write down these 7 tools to tackle overwhelm head-on by building a sustainable business and actively reducing stress in your personal life.

Topics We Covered:

1:40]: Most business owners will experience overwhelm at some point.

[15:00]: Take a break from social media and go for a walk, do breathing exercises or read a book instead. Take a holiday or a weekend away. Structure time in your work week that is just for you.

[16:51]: #4 Get support. You can’t do it all on your own.

[18:41]: Listen to Episode 7: Need support in your business - 3 ways to build your online team and Episode 16: 4 key indicators it’s time to upgrade systems in your business.

[19:31]: Reflect on the support you need in your home life too.
